Learn a little more about Steven Almadova, our executive chef:
Steven is motivated, passionate, reliable and hasmany skills to offer. Originally from Northern California, Steven has lived all throughout California in various cities such as Santa Barbara, San Diego and Sacramento. He also spent some time living in Las Vegas after college.
Customer service, cooking, and problem solving are specialties for Steven. He is proficient with photography, video editing, and has a grasp on social media and media communications.
Steven studied film and Communications/Media for 4 years in Santa Barbara CA, and has over 12 years of cooking experience. He started his cooking journey at a small age due to his dad being a head chef/executive chef his whole life.
His dad would always bring him along to work after school, and after church on Sundays his father would teach him how to cook anything he would like. The love of food and his passion for food comes from his dad – one of the main reasons why Steven is here in Florence today is because of his family.
He’s worked in various kitchens and resorts. Stevens worked for corporate restaurants, fine dining, he’s worked on banquets, and has cooked for weddings. He recently just left Three Rivers Casino working in fine dining on the BONFIRE Steakhouse line for over 2 years getting that restaurant back opened after covid.
Steven before coming over to Sandpines was at the casino for 3 years working throughout all the different outlets in the casino.
He is so happy to finally come over to a different place to create something special for the Florence community – and to have a new spot for great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming space for all.
